Regardless of what online journalism is, the organization of conventional media should transform the way it manages workflows as well as collects and distributes information. In essence, the more the public participates in the generation of content, the greater the underlying transparency and equality of information will be. The boundaries of journalism will be extended from only professional journalists or journalism scholars to the ordinary public. However, one thing that worries me is that, in terms of journalism employment, it will be on the verge of extinction. If not, massive innovation in professional journalism is needed to survive. I argue that they should not be satisfied with gathering information. Instead, professional journalists must pioneer a way to find new sources of information by adapting new technologies or academic methods to online journalism
