After being dumped, Bundy took breaks in San Francisco, Denver, Philadelphia and Arkansas. He would later transfer to Temple University in 1969 and embark on his new career in stalking, which would culminate in rape and murder. In Ocean City, New Jersey, Bundy attempted his first kidnapping and failed. It was at this moment that Bundy promised that he would be better prepared in the future.
