Summary In an attempt to overcome his alcoholism, his short temper and his violent behavior, Jack Torrance takes a job as a janitor at the Overlook hotel. It was scary and gave me the chills; all the things I like. The descriptions throughout the book were impeccable and I could vividly imagine in my head what was happening in the book. It was like a movie in my mind. I also loved the character development. It was descriptive but not too descriptive, leaving the reader room for imagination. I loved every single thing about this book and wouldn't change a thing. I will definitely reread it in the future.
