I recently read Twilight written by Stephenie Meyer. There are five books in total for this saga. I came across this gem of a novel while looking for a book to read in the class library, I was initially drawn to the book by the book's outstanding yet simple cover, a black background with pale hands holding a red apple. After picking it up and reading the description on the back paired with the three constructive reviews, I knew I had to read it. Every day when I came home from school, reading that book was at the top of my agenda. Reading wasn't a chore, it just became something I wanted to do for joy and fun. Say no to plagiarism. Get an original essay I admire Stephenie Meyer's writing style because it has attention to the plot, it does a good job of capturing the reader and drawing you in, Stephenie Meyer writing is always so full of so many feelings, every page was full of excitement and you can feel how it he felt Bella at that precise moment. The author also has a very descriptive writing style and describes everything in the book, but that's what I prefer because I like to have a good idea of what the characters are like and what the setting of the story looks like. The character Bella Swan was one of my favorite and least favorite characters in this book because I related to her because her self esteem wasn't the best, she took everything on herself way more than necessary. One of the reasons I like Bella is because she is very independent more than the usual teenagers, for example, the story opens with Bella moving to Forks to give her mother some free time with her new husband. Bella chooses to go to Forks and inside she doesn't like it at all. She is lying because she wants to make her mother happy and is willing to drop out of school. As I was reading the book I realized that Bella is madly in love with Edward, but Bella had no dreams, no goals, no ambitions, no hobbies which are a big part of her life, all she thought about was Edward. Also, in my personal opinion, there was no love in their relationship. Many people would agree that it is better to fall in love with someone's personality rather than their appearance. In my opinion, Edward liked Bella for her "smell" and Bella was more attracted to her looks than personality, but maybe that's because I've only read the first book and their relationship makes more sense in the other series. Even though there are so many genres for this book and it was terribly difficult for me to choose because I was torn between 3 genres but I came to the conclusion that it is romance because the book Twilight focuses on a 17 year old high school student from name Bella Swan who moves to Forks and meets and falls in love with Edward Cullen who is a vampire. There are so many themes in this book because it could fit into so many categories but in the end, I think the perfect theme for this book would be Loneliness because in the beginning Bella isn't exactly complaining about being lonely because she likes being alone , but before meeting Edward, she feels alone. Edward is probably the loneliest character in the Twilight novel, he spent around 90 years looking for someone to love before finding Bella. The Cullen family is also isolated. They must keep themselves separate from the human society in which they live, but are also isolated from other vampires due to their choice to follow a vegetarian diet.
