Horror films are full of excitement, drama, and suspense that most people love to see. World War Z is the story of a man named Gerry Lane, a retired United Nations investigator, racing to save himself and his family. What is he running from? A lethal virus that is turning people into virus-spreading corpses. Other films that fit into the horror genre are films like Halloween, The Exorcist, and The Conjuring. This film could undoubtedly be considered a great example of a horror film, because it has great aspects that a horror film should have. I also think this film is a great example of a horror film. Even though World War Z lacks one of the main characteristics of a horror film, namely blood and guts, it is still a great example of a typical horror film because it is fast-paced and full of emotions.
