Topic > A review of the film Pay It Forward

Pay it forward is a film adaptation of a book of the same title written by Catherine Ryan Hyde. It is a drama and romantic film directed by Mimi Leder starring Kevin Spacey as Eugene Simonet, Helen Hunt as Arlene McKinney, Haley Joel Osment as Trevor Mckinney and Jay Mohr as Chris Chandler. The film is set in Las Vegas. I would give this movie a 4.5/5 because the ending broke my heart. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? Get an original essay "Pay it forward" is a movement of a seventh grade student in his social studies class given by his teacher as a project that they have to think about and idea that will change the world and put it into action. Trevor McKinney is the student who invented this movement and his teacher was Sir Eugene Simonet. Trevor has an alcoholic mother and Trevor wants his mother to change. In the beginning of the movie you will meet a reporter who is Chris Chandler and his car was hit by someone who commits a crime with his getaway car. An old man with his dog offered a Jaguar car in exchange for the wrecked car and Chris Chandler was very confused and the old man said he would just pay up front. The journalist begins to investigate the movement. Trevor McKinney started his movement by helping a homeless man and explained how the movement reaches to the homeless until Trevor McKinney thought he failed in the first try, then he didn't stop trying and his next target is Sir Eugene Simonet and his plan was to let him date his mother and in the end his plan was successful until his abusive father came back and his mother chose his father because his father promised that he would change but it was just a scam and Eugene and Arlene's relationship is it went badly. While the investigation was ongoing, Chris Chandler is close to the mastermind of the movement, he interviewed the people who made the movement and always asked who did this to you until Chris Chandler arrived at his destination, which was to find the mastermind of this movement. that is Trevor McKinney, because his movement has arrived in Los Angeles. Until Arlene and Eugene decided to take their feelings seriously. For me I liked the movie, my emotion was like riding a roller coaster, you will feel excited, sad, happy, etc. The film was well developed and written, the actors are very good. Besides the plot of the film and Trevor's idea, it deeply affects me that a seventh grader came up with this idea. I just don't like the ending and think it's unnecessary for the movie, but the movie comes out great with its ending, I just think it would be better if they found an alternate ending. I suggest everyone to watch this movie because it addresses major issues in our life that everyone can relate to and it has changed my perspective in life that we need to help people who need help and give the best of what we can do to help someone . We have to give help not only because we think that if we help someone, someone will also help us as if you are doing this because in the end you will receive, we have to help because we want it and it is from our heart. It is better to give than to receive. And according to one study, we people are more satisfied when we give to others than when we give to ourselves. If you're going to watch this movie you need plenty of tissues, be prepared for twists and turns, and pack some snacks too. Enjoy. Works Cited Hyde, C. R. (2000). Pay it forward.
