Everyone who attended public high school observed a divide among the peers they attended classes with. The same can be said of my experiences. Sitting in class, I noticed many different types of students. Some tend to be more hardworking and reserved than others. Although there are many more than three types of students, I believe that students can be generalized into three fairly common groups: the Hard Workers, the Slackers, and what I call the Middlemen. The first (and least common) of the three groups are the Hard Workers. These students can be easily distinguished by their tendency to get high grades. These are the students who take notes vigorously and are confident in turning in their assignments as soon as possible. Hard Workers spend their free time in class reading books, studying notes, or working on homework. While the hard workers' studiousness is exquisite, they lack one vital aspect: social status.
