Artist Makeup------------------Ageing with Grease Makeup. There are many tricks you can use to produce an aging effect, but I decided to use fat. The greasy makeup I used was a skin tonepalate from Kryolan. Before doing any makeup technique I studied the shape and size of my bone structure and the features of my face, that way I knew where to shade and highlight. To create the aging effect I practiced shading and shading on both the hand and the face, to do this I used a small to medium sized brush. After a few sessions of practicing lighting and shading, on February 18th I applied my makeup to be photographed and evaluated. Before applying makeup I cleansed my face with the No7 light cleanser for normal skin. I then applied a toner, again from No7 for normal skin, and finally I applied a moisturizer from The Body Shop for normal to oily skin. I left the moisturizer on my skin for 10 minutes to make sure there were no blemishes on my skin from makeup. I applied base makeup to my face and neck; I applied it to my neck because it's an important part of the aging process. The color I used for my base makeup was 5w in skin tone Kryolan and I used a latex sponge to apply it. I then started by applying my line shading onto my face, using a mix of shades, 7w and 9w. I started by creating some bags and darkened areas around the eyes; I did this by drawing a thin line under the eye then, with a clean brush, dragging the excess makeup towards the eye darkening the area. To make the areas look puffy, I highlighted around the shadow areas to make the shaded area look more indented. To do this I used the 2w shade of my palate. The neck is an important part in the aging process especially when the character is wearing a low neck top. To pull the knee muscles in I lowered my head and turned it to the side so the knee muscles were sticking out. Then I drew my lines, shading them and then highlighting the part between the lines so that the shaded area looked like it was indented. If the character has a high cut, then you will need to bring the lines up to the top of the shoulder bone, also shading the salt shakers at the base of the throat. To make the eyebrows look messy and unplucked, I used an eye pencil
