Unredeemed humanity is on a runaway freight train hurtling down a crawling track at breakneck speed, hurtling toward a 10-foot-thick brick wall. Their train has no brakes, the engineer is gone, and they are doomed. However, there is hope: they can be saved. All they have to do is reach out and take the hand of a Savior, but will they? We see the Savior's hand coming through the train windows. She is desperately searching the train cars, her eyes moving back and forth, her hand darting in and out of the windows as she grasps each redeemed soul and holds them close to her bosom. He knows the danger emanating and can see their calamity and their horrible death. Some lucky souls have reached out and grasped the promise of salvation. He gently lifted them out of harm's way and placed them on solid ground. They knew that Salvation was necessary to save them. What made them give up on their obvious rescue? Sin prevented them from accepting the Hand of salvation when He offered it to them. We see in 1 Revelation 16:10-11 that even after mankind sees the tribulation of the end times and suffers great curses and torments, they will still not repent.
