IntroductionAmerican employment laws are designed to promote human dignity and in the process provide employees with various tangible benefits. Employees are therefore expected to be at the forefront in supporting and respecting them. Likewise, if an organization effectively enforces these laws, it can benefit enormously from dynamic, healthy, motivated and productive employees. It is therefore obvious that managers, just like employees, should promote these laws and thus ensure that the organization complies with them. These laws generally govern the workplace actions of employers and employees. It ensures that a fruitful and legally favorable environment and relationship exists between these two parties and within the employees themselves. Their violation can not only jeopardize the effectiveness of the organization or put the employment of employees at risk, but can also lead to serious legal repercussions (Yamada, 2008). Re-emphasizing the specific laws related to employment is of paramount importance considering that Pomodoro Ltd has recently incorporated Thompson Snack. Such restructuring could directly impact the employment positions of various employees. Therefore, keen interest should be taken in laws relating to wages and salaries and unemployment benefits. Furthermore, the organization is made up of both international and local employees. It is therefore natural that the workforce is widely diverse. Ensuring compliance with laws that encourage diversity and consequently eliminating any possibility of discrimination and harassment should be a priority.
