Life and death are very common. Maybe in common. There are many endangered plants and animals in this world. Humans can often get what they want and need: food, shelter, warmth, and help. Unfortunately, plants and animals cannot simply get what they want; they must survive. Many times the environment will harm or make it harder for plants and animals to survive on what they find, not what they buy. As humans, we need plants and animals to survive. Many plants and animals are used for medicine and therefore there may be cures for some incurable diseases. In this essay the reader will learn about endangered species, why it would be beneficial for us to protect these species, save time due to ecological effects and what we can do to help and thus we can save and benefit the environment. Plants and animals are dying rapidly. According to Andreu Hartley, 100 to 1000 times compared to 0.0001% of the first appearance of man and will increase up to 10,000 times the background rate. One of the main causes is environmental change. Although plants are dying naturally, climate change and humans have made them die faster. Due to rapid changes in the environment, plants and animals cannot adapt fast enough. Global warming is affecting the changing environment, such as floods, droughts, fire insects and ocean acidification. Climate is change. Global warming is happening. Due to rising temperatures, polar ice is melting, causing floods. The loss of our coral reefs will cause increased flood costs, and coral reefs will provide homes for many aquatic animals and plants. The sea is rising. By 2080, most coastal homes will be flooded. This could endanger many animals... several animals. Andrew Hartley, why should we care about endangered species?
