The Effects of the Cuban Missile CrisisDuring the Cuban Missile Crisis, almost every newspaper and radio station talked about how the end of the world was on the brink of destruction. For this reason, many people at that time lived in fear and felt that the world would end. The effects of the Cuban Missile Crisis not only affected the two nations, but also had major effects on the people of these nations, the world, and the countries themselves. These effects only truly changed the world when it was too late. The effects that the Cuban Missile Crisis left on the people of these nations were fear, panic and enough paranoia to scare the entire world. It also affected the world as other counties would do everything they could to have their personal wishes based and made possible. Another effect that was left on the countries that took part in the crisis was how one country would treat another. These topics are not only the only ones to be raised as there are many different causes and effects arising from the Cuban Missile Crisis, but these are just the main ones to focus on. The people of these countries would be the first to be affected. from the early days or war passes and the like. The people who would be the first affected by the crisis and this was due to the fact of what would happen as the threat of nuclear war was approaching and the brink of the end of the world would scare anyone. These descriptions by Alice L. George were not only frightening but also nightmarish as Alice continues to talk about what it was like during this time as she opens her book with these dark images.
