Nursing Home Care Joan Baez, a famous singer and songwriter, said, “You don't get to choose how you're going to die, or when. You can only decide how you will live." A community of elderly people are asking themselves how they want to live the last years of their life. For most, living in a nursing home is not the preferred choice. For those who have to live in a nursing home , employees become an extended family. Nursing homes offer a sense of brotherhood, friendship and care I will talk about responsibility, income and opportunity. A nursing home is a long-term healthcare facility that provides full-time care and medical care to people who are unable to care for themselves. Aside from hospitals, homes care provide the highest quality of care to the elderly. There are many different fields to fill in a nursing home. Residents have different needs within a day preparing meals to dispensing prescriptions and social interaction. A younger generation can make the nursing home a more rewarding place. Also, how will they know they will appear in the future. First of all, this part of the document will talk about responsibilities. Workers are required to report any problems to residents. They observe changes in personality, physical reactions to foods and medications, and changes in their daily habits. Nurses must always offer emotional, physical and medical support, no matter what, and provide entertainment and artistic outlets for residents. Staff members make residents happy in the middle of the paper because they say “nursing home workers have higher injury rates than construction workers, loggers and most miners” (John O'Connor) “According to Based on BLS, nursing facility employment is projected to grow more than 24% over the decade 2008-2018” (Torpey 23). Torpey stated that 400,000 more jobs will open in the decade 2008-2018 (23). “Workers who provide direct care make up the largest segment of industries” (Torpey 24). The best part of working in a nursing home is being able to help people who can help themselves (Torpey 31). Many people are living longer thanks to advances in diagnosis and treatments in today's society (Arnot Health). Three topics were about responsibility, earnings, and opportunities.
