1. Introduction In recent years we can see that social networking sites are gaining popularity, especially in business settings. For the growth of social networking sites; the sky is the limit. The first social networking site was launched on the market just ten years ago and since then the way we communicate with other people has also changed. Social networking sites such as Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and many others are so well rooted in the contemporary digital world that they integrate very easily into our daily routine. All of these SNSs provide all users with a platform for correspondence, sharing information, and daily collaboration with others around the world. All of these sites are so well established that annual revenue amounts to millions and billions of dollars, for example in 2006 Google spent $1.65 billion buying Youtube. (“Google buys YouTube for $1.65 billion,” 2006) and another more recent example is “LinkedIn earned $15.4 million in 2010 on net revenue of $243 million” (Bestgrowthstock, 2011, par. 15). The main reason for the success of SNSs is the number of people who use them; and that's what all companies are looking for. In 2009, Facebook was growing at a rate of 6,000 users per day. “At this rate, if Facebook were a country, it would be the sixth most populous in the world” (Smith, 2009). The extreme usage of SNS by people has enabled businesses to use SNS for several reasons. Due to the popularity of these SNSs; organizations are willing to spend a huge amount of capital on marketing on these SNSs and to have access to user information available on the site. The research proposed below is to find out how these SNSs can be used by companies to hire new staff....... half of the article ......t Gordon University (unpublished master's thesis).
