There are a large number of majors you can study in college and so many careers in those areas that you only have to choose one. It's like walking into an ice cream shop and not knowing which flavor to choose because they all look delicious. However, choosing a profession is very different, as you cannot simply choose a job like you could choose a flavor of ice cream. You can't have Chunky Monkey today and Cherry Garcia tomorrow, otherwise their life will be a Rocky Road. It is necessary to reflect more on choosing the right career path; because you can't go back and forth, going from a doctor one minute to a stylist the next. Having narrowed it down to business/marketing and communications, there are still endless career possibilities. The two careers, marketing manager and sales representative, are similar in many ways, but contrast in others. In an analysis of the strengths and skills needed in relation to the fields of business and communication, a marketing manager appears to be better suited to someone who has these essential traits than a sales representative. These indispensable traits will be very useful in the business world and without them it will be more difficult to be successful and excited to go to work every day. Being stronger in business and math than in other subjects like arts and sciences is perfect for getting into marketing in particular and business in general. The necessary and useful lessons for these professions are Statistics, Calculus, Marketing Principles, Microsoft Applications, Business Dynamics, Public Speaking, Mass Media and Economics. These courses will prove very useful in college, business and marketing. They are also similar to many of the recommendations...... middle of the paper ...... flavors, research the pros and cons of each and find the one that is the perfect match.Works Cited"Advertising Managers , marketing, promotions, public relations and sales".
