A woman who had made many mistakes met Jesus who, instead of avoiding her, asked her for a drink. This woman would never have thought that a Jew would ask a Samaritan for a drink, especially in public. Jesus was patient with this woman, he had mercy on her, despite her sins. After curiosity, some lies, and much discussion, the woman at the well believed in the true Christ. She realized how thirsty her soul was for what only Jesus could quench, and her faith welled up within her. I find it amazing how Jesus loved to heal people, it made him so happy to give relief to those who were suffering. Jesus was walking along the road, meditating, when he met a man suffering for his sins. This man was waiting for the judgment of Christ, not daring to ask for healing. I love that if one truly believes, he will be healed. No matter what has been done before, nothing compares to Jesus' desire to cleanse us. I never really understood this, but I am extremely encouraged to see, especially in this specific chapter, how much Jesus wants to heal us from our
