For a long time, art and design met and everyone mistakenly thought that design was for decoration. Nowadays it is quite acceptable for everyone that design has found its current place among the entire humanity and the field of sciences. Paola Antonelli, curator of design at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, said in her 2007 speech that there is a possibility of approaching the idea of design as instruction or direction rather than as a prescription of form. Over the past decade, many designers have tried to separate art and design and introduce design as an independent trend. They believe that the essence of art and design are different. Professor Jae-Jin Shim explained that “Art is something driven by instinct, but design must be based on a rational and commercial purpose” and John Maeda argued in 2012 that there is a difference between art and design , and this is important. “Designers create solutions: products and services that move us forward. But artists create questions: the deep investigation of purpose and meaning that sometimes takes us backwards and sideways to reveal what the way “forward” actually is. Indeed, the act of design is creating a connection between our present life and the future by deciphering the possibilities that can be found in multiple perspectives. John Maeda believes that “good design will arise from the consideration of multiple perspectives. It should be something we haven't even dreamed of yet. “Last year, MoMA held a special exhibition, Applied Design, to show how design has branched out in new directions and attracted worldwide attention. In an exhibition description, they argued that “Like physics, design will be loosely divided into theoretical and applied. From theoretical...... middle of paper...... desires for the future, they are always looking for ways to re-imagine objects and spaces. They seek to use the authority of design to improve and integrate things and help society adapt to a new reality. The point is to apply these revolutionary three elements that must change in society: “social structure, consumer behavior and cultural acceptance. ”The fact is that currently there are no longer technological constraints. Therefore, we just need a group of designers who have a strong vision to make a decision and accept the leadership role. The importance of this position is clear in an example that Petteri Kolinen stated at the European Design Innovation Summit about his experience with Nokia: “This led to a slow introduction of new products and much more conservative decisions. The company has moved from being a front runner to a follower position.”
