Crime is defined as an omission or act that violates established laws in a particular jurisdiction and that is punishable when an individual is convicted (Arrington, 2006). Crimes include drug crimes, crimes against property or people, crimes under federal law and motor vehicle crimes. Some of the disorderly behaviors, which may include public urination, aggressive begging, and sleeping in public areas, such as streets, are not necessarily considered criminal acts, but such acts always affect the community or society as they lead to erosion of the quality of life in the society or community where such activities are rampant. Normally, there are three main factors that must be present for a crime to occur. These include the presence of a motivated offender, who has the intention to carry out the criminal activity, the availability of a suitable target, who motivates and arouses the offender's interest in engaging in the criminal activity, and a third party, which or a person or something that encourages the commission of the crime or discourages the commission of criminal acts by the offender. In essence, it can be said like this: crimes affect people, situations and places. These elements are therefore responsible for crime prevention and crime reduction. Crime prevention is a very important concept that has been around for a long time. However, more recently, the issue of crime reduction has been introduced. These terms are sometimes used or employed interchangeably, which can cause confusion. By definition, crime prevention involves approaches aimed at ensuring that criminal activities are not committed (Schneider, 201...... middle of document ...... king high in the city.
