Good vs. Evil In Lord of the Flies there is a constant battle between good and evil throughout the book. Throughout the story you can observe many situations where the boys struggle between good and evil, such as the way the boys treat the island badly when the island represents good, the relationship between Jack and Ralph and the death of Simons . Most of the kids went over to the side of evil, but some of them remained true to themselves and stood up for good. The island they landed on had a lot to offer. Even if they didn't treat him with respect. Ralph says "We should have brought water from the stream and left it in those coconut shells. So it was, for a few days.
