BELLO ABDULRAHMAN OYEBODE |M00465050Marketing Theory and PracticeReflective ReportMr. Surya Foollee21/04/2014The word count for the reflective report is 832 words, which is within the acceptable percentage of (+/-) 20% of 1000 words. My name is Bello Abdulrahman Oyebode, originally from Ejigbo in Osun State, in Nigeria. I like talking, eating, cooking, dancing, listening to music (Fuji genre) and watching football matches (Arsenal fan). I was very happy to be admitted to Middlesex University to study international business, because since I was an undergraduate I prayed to God to make me one of the most successful businessmen in my country with international connections. I want to have knowledge and understanding of organizational structures, the external organizational environment and management principles. I also want to learn how to attract and retain customers and make profits by creating customer satisfaction and values by achieving established business objectives through the knowledge gained by exceeding customer needs and outperforming the competition. Upon completion of my time studying on the International Business course, I intend to enter the oil and gas industry where I firmly believe that I will be able to apply everything I have learned to become a successful businessman in my country. In today's business environment, companies are taking consumer social responsibility (CSR) seriously and are getting positive responses as it has been proven to benefit the market position of companies globally. Ethical principles reflect society's cultural values that guide what should be done in a particular situation. The ethical dilemma arises from the conflict between the desire to increase profits and... middle of paper... customer needs and their satisfaction with the help of corporate social responsibility and environmental ethics. All these skills will help me improve my marketing skills and increase my chances of getting employment with reputable companies in order to gather the required work experience needed to undertake the growth of my business venture. In conclusion, I intend to use the knowledge gained during the course of my learning experience at Middlesex to better myself as a person who, once I finish my degree, will not just join the rat race like every other graduate out there, but I want to be able to create job opportunities for others and build a long-lasting organization that would not only help improve people's lifestyle but also help reduce the unemployment rate in my country with the intent of increasing globally on a large scale.
