College athletes should be paid for the hard work, dedication and commitment they put into their sports. These athletes are a major source of revenue for their schools and they don't get a dime for it. These college athletes deserved to get paid, colleges use these athletes to get money and never get anything other than a pat on the back and a good job. College athletes work and train hard to reach the highest level possible. In most cases, they spend more time training and preparing for their sport than learning and studying. They put so much on the line and get nothing in return. These college athletes literally make their schools millions of dollars every year through things like ticket sales and selling player merchandise. They can use these athletes for anything they want while still enrolled in their sports program and that athlete is not allowed to accept any form of payment for the contribution they made to that particular program and are given crazy looks even when they ask. Sports are a huge source of income for many different universities across the country and help keep them afloat. Sports generate millions every year, but where does all this money go if it isn't intended to pay these athletes?
