The Industrial Revolution was a period of time that changed the way goods were produced. The production of goods moved from manual labor to mechanical labor. This allowed factories to save a lot of time and produce more goods than someone could produce manually. From the mid-1700s there were many inventors who developed different types of machines that could be used to produce large quantities of goods. The relationship between the industrial revolution and European imperialism is that the western nation took control of most of the nation which led to imperialism. Later there was an inventor who produced the steam engine. This was small but powerful and could be used for both land and water transport. With the invention of the steam engine and the invention of railways, the transportation and exchange of goods between cities and even towns became much easier, and cities and towns received their goods much faster.
