Marriage is the legal or religious ceremony that formalizes the decision of two people to live as a married couple. Marriage shouldn't be based on what other people think. When people marry in a heterosexual union, they do so for their own happiness, not that of others. Gay marriage is the same way. Homosexuality has always existed and will continue to exist. Why should homosexuals be denied the rights of heterosexuals? Nobody has the right to say that homosexuals cannot marry. This is discriminating against another group of individuals who desire equality. Gay marriage should be accepted; people were created with the ability to love, no one should try to change this, not the Bible, not the Constitution, not anyone else. Marriage is stated many times in the Bible. But the Bible and the amendments can be interpreted in many ways. Marriage is a religious ceremony, “But I cannot imagine even the most fervent Christian obeying all the laws of God…” (Bond) No one is perfect, but our flaws make who we are. If we don't always follow a few rules here and there it's okay because we are only human. Most parents teach their children to be different and not to let others influence them. The same thing should go for gays. The people who are trying to change them will not succeed. Gays were created for a certain reason, but our country must first understand this in order to accept them. In the Bible, Jesus blesses children and sends away rich young men... Jesus said, 'Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house, brothers, sisters, mother, father, children or fields because of me and for for the sake of the good news, whoever will not receive a hundredfold now in this century --- houses brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields with...... middle of paper ......, will come .Works CitedDeMarco , Donald. “Same-sex marriage should not be allowed.” The Family.
