What are your top brands in the world? in the modern era, after many countries have adopted the capitalist economy system, which depends on economic freedom in ownership of the means of production. Companies can offer their product and distribution in different locations around the world. It also increases competition and intimidation from companies that counterfeit their products. This will create huge losses for companies, so they will have to invent markings on their products. In my report I will discuss the definition of branding, compare between the two major brands around the world and how to come up with a brand. Every year Business magazine publishes the top ten best brands around the world. They are chosen based on which of them has the highest profit percentage. Branding is "A brand is a product, service, or concept that is publicly distinguished from other products, services, or concepts so that it can be easily communicated and usually marketed. A trademark is the name of the product, service, or concept. Branding is the process of creating and disseminating the brand name. Branding can be applied to the entire corporate identity as well as to individual product and service names" (1)( (Rouse, 2010). It is not easy to create a brand, there they are specific companies that work to create the suitable brand for other companies. It must check the conditions of legality of creating a brand and must do the following: firstly it must be easy to read, write, talk about and keep all over the world Secondly, it must not have any negative or undesirable meaning in the language. Third, it must be suitable for the export market and not have an unfavorable meaning in the foreign language. ...entities such as: word, logo, colors, symbols and designs and group of stories.
