Organizing successful teams is a challenge. When focusing on marketing teams, strategy, creativity, and aligning the right people and responsibilities within the team are essential. As Thompson (2014) points out, marketing teams tailor their communication about services, products, goals, and promotions to meet the needs of the organization. This document will evaluate team details, including the process, team roles, my responsibility, and project guidelines to efficiently execute a company-wide rebranding project.Team Project OverviewThe project involves the rebranding of the image and identity of a scientific company. New branding requires new messaging, a new logo, a new website with a new web address, and new products. This project is company-wide, with different teams, such as research and development (R&D), operations, sales, accounting, customer service, and marketing. My involvement is with the marketing team. The team consists of a small marketing team, including a director, a researcher and a creative designer. Smaller groups combined with members who share the same motivational goal are beneficial during decision making because they keep the task focused and reduce conflict (Spanjol, Tam, Qualls, & Bohlmann, 2011). The project has an aggressive deadline and a new brand should be live within six months. That said, moving forward cohesively will require open communication and project organization between and within teams.
