Birla Mandir, dedicated to the Venkateshwara ruler of Tirumala Tirupati Shrine, is made of white marble brought from Rajasthan. The sanctuary engineering style is a mix of North Indian and South Indian sanctuary structural planning styles. The shrine tower or 'Gopuram' displays the striking features of South Indian shrines. The Jagadananda vimanam fabricated on the sanctum sanctorum takes inspiration from the Oriya style of structural engineering of the shrine. The flag pole of the shrine which has a height of 42 feet is made of metal. Scenes from the legends of Ramayana and Mahabharata are intricately engraved on the partition walls and roofs of the shrine. Statues of deities befitting Hindu mythology could be found from the doorway to the sanctum sanctorum of the shrine.
