New Zealand had a stable, corruption-free, democratic political system that creates a superior government-supported environment for a wide range of activities. First of all, it will scare off offshore investors. New Zealand's real business is also facing the crisis due to the negative effects of the new restrictions, just as local banks are facing the loss of customers. More drought and stronger winds on the South Island generated by the El Nino phenomenon could lead to huge fires and destroy huge amounts of valuable wood and plant species, causing many problems for the local forestry industry. On the other hand, El Nino weather patterns could have a very positive effect on businesses operating in the tourism sector in New Zealand.
