Pros of nursing include communicating with patients, making a difference, and a fast-paced job. Communicating with new people is a pleasant experience for me and makes me feel much more satisfied with my day. This is one of the first things that inspired me to get into nursing. Not only are you communicating with new people, but you are possibly saving their lives. Another advantage is high-intensity work. Nurses deal with critically ill people, but working on their toes at a fast pace is exhilarating. I have always been afraid of becoming bored with my career, but even if that happened in nursing, I could change and become a different type of nurse. I think it's also nice that as a nurse you can get paid to be on call and as long as you stay close to the hospital, you can do whatever you want.
