Topic > Tupac Shakur - 1846

Tupac Shakur, otherwise known as 2Pac, was well known for his successes in the rap industry, as well as his career in acting. When most people think back to Tupac's life, they will remember September 7, 1996, the night Shakur was shot four times on the streets of Las Vegas. Six days later, on September 13, 1996, he was pronounced dead at the University of Nevada Medical Center (THUG, 2011). Although most people believed that tension between the East and West Coasts would ease with Tupac's death, exactly the opposite happened. With angry fans mourning Tupac's death and gang members begin to promote more violence in the streets. The feud grew stronger between the East and West Coasts, causing a divide across America. Even though Tupac was no longer alive, his records were still being sold and his music videos and songs were still being produced. Other rappers also used Tupac's death to their advantage, writing songs and rapping about his death. Additionally, Tupac's death sparked curiosity among many Americans about the rap industry because he was a very well-known rapper/actor, who many people still mourn today. Sectionalism in the early 1800s was much like the feud between the East Coast and the West Coast. in the 90s. In the 1800s the issue of slavery divided America into two, the North and the South. The North didn't think slavery was right, the South did, and they wanted slavery to continue. Continuing conflicts over the issue of slavery increased as the decade progressed. The result of this feud was the Civil War, which broke out in April 1861. The war lasted four long years, with many casualties, and relations between states that would take a long time to... middle of paper ..... .and still released after his death (Kallen, 94). Most of the songs released became hits, but Tupac Shakur was unable to accept the praise. Some think that the moment Tupac was killed, he would have left Death Row Records. If this were true, someone at Death Row Records might have shot him, but in 1999 there was no investigation into the murder of Tupac Shakur. This sparked a lot of anger among many people who were furious that he had been murdered (Tupac, 2002). In addition, the death of Tupac Shakur became famous throughout America, whether you were a fan of Tupac Shakur, or the story shocked you, it aroused curiosity among people whether the rivalry between the East Coast and the Coast whether or not the rivalry was the cause of the murder and whether or not the rivalry was necessary in the beginning.
