Access to the campaignThe campaign is currently accessible to everyone; There are some projects, such as the KSCP (Kentish Stour Countryside Project) which promote easy access to rural areas for all visitors, whatever their ability. They believe access should be available via many forms of transportation; KSCP promotes walking, cycling and public transport as ways to reach rural areas. The Countryside Agency The Countryside Agency promotes access to the countryside; brings together in a single national body all the different dimensions of the landscape, for example the economic one, the environmental one, the community one and the entertainment one. Its aim is to achieve sustainable development in the countryside. The campaign agency does not set policy or provide services, but provides evidence and advice to those who do. They have a number of statutory duties which include designating national parks and mapping open land for public access. We do this by:* Identifying problems and opportunities through rural problem research.* Testing solutions through consultancy and grants to address rural issues or shape future policies.* Sharing good practice and encouraging others to propose solutions.* Providing advice on impact of policies on the countryside and rural communities.* Understand different local needs by using your staff in each region. The Countryside Agency's Vision The Countryside Agency has two main visions that it tries to stick to as best it can:* Making life better for people in the countryside. They believe that...... middle of paper ...... October and April so it is important to check that a fire is unattended before calling 999. Keep your dog under close supervision By law you must supervise your dog in so that it doesn't scare the animals. While it is not necessary to keep your dog on a leash when on public paths if you cannot control him, it is best to do so. By law a farmer can kill a dog that injures or worries his animals. Dog mess is unpleasant and can cause infections, clean it up. Consider other people You should respect the needs of local people, for example by not blocking doors or driveways. By law cyclists should give way to pedestrians and riders on mule tracks and everyone should keep clear when farm animals are being collected or moved. You should follow the farmer's directions when this happens.
