We need to look at prayer with deeper thoughts. Praying is not simply closing your eyes, folding your hands and talking. Prayer is a much more significant part of religion. We all need to pray, God himself asks us to pray. Prayer is defined as an act of God, a god, or other object of worship, as in devotion, confession, praise, or thanksgiving. When most people pray, they simply say the same prayer, such as the Lord's Prayer. Saying the same prayer isn't that bad, it's more about the meaning and the time you spend praying. Prayer should not be seen just as a routine or habit, but rather as a love poem to express oneself to God. Questions such as: why do we need to pray? What is this prayer? And what does God command us to pray for? They are what we should ask ourselves before turning to God in prayer. Prayer is a very important action in all of us as Christians. We should know why we pray and why it is important. We should also know that prayer cannot only come from our mouth but also from our heart. Our affections become attached to ourselves and worldly goals; our prayer cannot rise above their level, no matter what words we use. Luke 11:1 says, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples.” we should be taught to pray by the church or people around us.
