Investing in Peru Peru is a diverse country with multinational people and ecology. It has struggled over the years with social reforms and multiple wars. Over the past decade, the government has allowed several foreign countries to invest in businesses that profit from the availability of the country's natural resources. It is the best time for a multinational to invest in a growing economy that would benefit from these resources; the country would also benefit from creating multi-sector job growth that would help stimulate the local economy, as many Peruvians remain in poverty. Peru Peru proclaimed its independence from Spain on July 28, 1871. Independence was not actually claimed until December 1824. Although they had gained independence, they were still in conflict with Chile and Ecuador regarding the perimeter of their countries , which ended peacefully in court in 2014.
