The purpose of this project is to create a program for load identification using active and reactive power characteristics with the dataset called REDD. Specifically, the aim is to evaluate the capacity of the applied algorithm with respect to different types of devices. In this semester, many technical articles have been studied and useful know-how has been selected. The power calculation model in MS Excel was verified and the formulas were set to obtain the results. To extract the data appropriately, the REDD dataset was also studied. Finally, the cargo signature database for cargo recognition has been created and this represents 50% of the project work has been completed. In the next semester, an application program of LABVIEW or MATLAB will be created to complete the load identification task, and the recognition performance will be evaluated.
