This extract will look specifically at the cultural heritage site of the Anstey building, but before that it is necessary to define what cultural heritage is or is intended to be. Cultural heritage is the embodiment of sites or people, especially in this investigation, cultural heritage sites are represented through architectural designs that show a certain uniqueness of that particular building. What is significant about the Anstey building is that it is a tangible site, its existence still prevalent today, despite its function having been modified to suit the use of the time. According to (heritage portal), the Anstey building was originally built as a department store in 1935, hosted by Norman Anstey.
