Throughout the world, Shakespeare is a well-known man, and has been for many years now. It should be noted, however, that he is more popular in our time than he was in his day. He is known worldwide for all his plays, poems and sonnets that he produced in just a few years during his writing career. According to my research, he was considered one of the greatest playwrights of all time ("Biography of William Shakespeare"). There are no records of Shakespeare's birth, however many believe that he was born on April 23, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom. There are records of his baptism at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford on 26 April 1564 which lead to these beliefs because then children had to be baptized three days after their birth (“The Life of William Shakespeare”). Scholars do not We know so much about Shakespeare's childhood because there are very few documents that we know for sure about this period of his life. There are also no records of his education; however he is believed to have attended the local King Edward VI grammar school from around the age of seven to fourteen, as this was the norm for boys during this time period ("The Education of William Shakespeare"). People doubt William's work because they believe he had no other prior education after finishing grammar school for those few years during childhood. At the age of eighteen, he married twenty-six-year-old Anne Hathaway on November 28, 1582. Just a few months later, on May 26, 1583, he conceived their first daughter, Susanna. Later, on February 2, 1585, the twins Hamnet and Judith were born. His only son, Hamnet, died in childhood at the age of eleven ("Biography of William Shakespeare"). They are not true...half of the paper......and even several years of no records, however scholars have used the evidence they have of his life and tried to uncover the pieces together as much as possible. Shakespeare's plays will continue to be performed around the world for many years to come, and his plays will always remain popular. He was a literary genius.
