To survive in the world, people must be able to earn money from the work they do. Should interns be paid for the work they do at these companies? On the other hand, there are examples of notable people in the film industry who have gained useful knowledge through unpaid internships and gotten their foot in the door of Hollywood. One example is Jonas Rivera, known for his role as a producer on the animated film Inside and Out. Rivera was a student at San Francisco State University when he contacted Pixar to inquire about a job.
