Topic > Why do I want to major in Electronics and…

I chose to major in Electronics and Communications Engineering because it is an evolving field and I am excited by the challenges it presents. The depth and scope of this discipline and its contribution to the way we live and work in today's world has been phenomenal. Since school, I have had a weakness for mathematics and science. This basic interest led me to choose Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as my main subjects in high school in order to form the foundation for my future. At the time of admission to the degree course I was aware of my interest in communication circuits; technological advances and the future scope of this field. One of the best inventions of technology is "Integrated Circuit?" that never ceases to amaze me. Back then my focus on communication systems was shared with digital systems which are also a fundamental application of communication sciences. I have just completed my bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and wish to pursue postgraduate degree in the same discipline. My performance at the undergraduate level convinced me that I have the potential to excel and achieve the best in the field of electronics and communications engineering. During my university course, I enjoyed subjects such as wireless communication, microcontroller and microprocessor which sharpened my hunger to master. I have done various training programs in this field over the course of four years. I went through a six-week training program in Embedded technology where I learned Embedded C and designed a circuit titled “Security System” incorporating the 8051 microcontroller. I went through a two-month training program in comp.. .... middle of paper ... ... I have gathered information about ongoing projects and research in this field and this further increases my interest in pursuing MastersEducation here. International exposure through classroom interactions will definitely enhance my knowledge and I would be able to learn about emerging global trends across the world. This university meets all my needs in terms of academics, teachers and a vibrant international community. I understand that you have renowned and highly qualified faculty and working with them will allow me to absorb their vision and satiate my inner desire to be at the forefront of electronic and communications engineering. I am sure that the global exposure and pragmatic education I will get from your university would help me become a successful engineer capable of working in any industrial environment.
