“Our love is to own guns, even if they hope never to have the chance to own them.” From this quote once spoken by Thomas Jefferson, weapons and their capabilities have changed history throughout the world and have affected almost everyone living in today's society. Gun control and policies have created upheaval in a growing number of nations. With the increasing rate of gun crime and the ease with which firearms can be obtained in some places around the world, American states and countries around the world have changed their stance on gun control and their laws . From strong gun control and tight trafficking in Germany, to too little or very light restrictions and firearms laws in Kentucky, guns, in any case, are a controversial issue facing today's society. The state of Kentucky is known throughout the United States for having laws that allow people to own, use, and carry various firearms throughout the state. One of these lenient laws concerns private sellers of any type of firearm, who are not required to undergo background checks on buyers. This law is very different in the United States as almost all other states require a background check or at least registration of purchased guns. Another lenient Kentucky state law is that unsafe and/or assault weapons with large ammunition magazines are not required to be regulated. This makes access to the most dangerous weapons easier for anyone interested in purchasing any type of firearm across the state. Along with its lenient laws, the state of Kentucky also ranks fourth out of fifty states for crimes involving guns originally purchased in the state and twelfth out of fifty states for gun homicide deaths (Summary...... half of paper… when it comes to gun regulation and control they offer more protection than where gun laws would be more lenient Addressing the problem would mean restricting more types of guns, requiring background checks, and having more traffic laws of firearms. With rapidly changing times and more innovations in new firearms hitting the market every day, nations around the world must reconsider their laws to protect their citizens from the dangers of firearms in Germany. : Facts, Figures and Firearm Law.
